Vote for the next Sakume character
Tell us which anime or game character you’d like to see in a future dakimakura design. All countries take part in the same central vote, and each person can submit one verified response.
One monthly vote, one international community
The current round and closing date are shown in the central form. Nominations are reviewed mid-month, and final results are published in the Sakume Global archive once the round has closed.
Each round is counted separately. Votes do not carry over to the next month automatically. 10 nominations from different participants lead to a priority review for a future round; 20 verified supporters in the official vote open a production review.
How the vote works
Every Sakume store shares one central form, so votes from all countries are counted together. Here’s what each step means.
Choose a character
Select the character you want to support from the current list.
Suggest an alternative
If your character isn’t listed, choose “Other character” and enter the character’s name and the series or game.
Choose the version
You can choose a standard or an adult version. 18+ versions are only considered for characters confirmed to be adults.
Vote now
Votes from the UK go into the same international Sakume round as every other store.

What happens after you vote?
We verify entries
Duplicate responses and nominations with different spellings are checked and combined.
We build future rounds
A character nominated by 10 different participants gets a priority review and may be added to a future official voting round.
We review production
At 20 verified supporters, our internal review begins. The threshold does not guarantee a product release.
Frequently asked questions
Why is there one central form for all stores?
We use a single central form for every Sakume store. That way the candidates and totals are updated once, and all votes go into the same ranking.
Can I add a character that isn’t on the list?
Yes. Choose “Other character”, then enter the character’s name and the series or game. When the same character is nominated by 10 different participants, it gets a priority review and may join a future round.
Do 20 votes guarantee the product will be made?
No. The threshold opens a production review. Character eligibility, illustration planning and rights considerations are all checked before any release.
Why aren’t all franchises accepted?
Some franchises or rights holders impose restrictions. Suggestions from restricted properties, including Pokémon and Disney, are not added to the official list.
